The Aim of this Site

Selfishly, I’d like to write more – write about what I see, what I think, and what I feel. Why do I want to write more? Maybe this will earn a spotlight as a dedicated blog, but quite simply I find it interesting and I suck at it. That’s my why, right now anyway. These writings might have to do with my day job in technical consulting, a book I’ve recently finished reading, or a shower-thought that has recently put me over the edge of curiosity. What else is a late-20’s to do with a lack of creative outlet? This is my solution for now. It’s exciting to catch a creative flow with tangible output, and I suppose that’s what boils down as my pursuit.

Where I’m At

My current focus is what you’re reading now – putting some of my brain to paper and publishing for my own selfish reasons, and hopefully helping someone spark an idea along the way. In addition to this writing, I am currently focused on technical skills around writing, understanding and managing code, C# and .NET specifically, and trying to reconnect some of those more computer-science intensive wires after having pissing them away in college. Hopefully I’ll feel comfortable enough to write about the pro-development side of the house in due time. That way I won’t feel like such a fraud when I have developer by my job title.

At the time of this writing, I spend my time trying to do what brings me the most joy in my free time. Lately, that involves watching as many movies as possible (at my local theatre when possible, shoutout AMC A-List), and trying to cook from scratch as a part of both skill acquisition and lifestyle change. Hit me with your latest reads or films, I won’t judge.
